The Jeff T. Green Family Foundation proudly supports student access to higher education through its generous scholarship program. For the 2026–2027 academic year, 250 scholarships are available for first-time, first-year students, each valued at $20,000 and renewable for up to four years, provided recipients continue to meet the renewal requirements.  

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for this scholarship opportunity, students must: 

  • Be a first-time, first-year student (freshman) admitted to º£½ÇÉçÇøCI for Fall 2026  
  • Be a first-generation student (neither parent has earned a baccalaureate degree)
  • Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or AB 540-eligible student
  • Demonstrate financial need by submitting a FAFSA or CADAA
  • Have a GPA of 2.5 or above  
  • Commit to California State University at State Channel Islands by May 1 

Students who meet the above criteria are automatically considered for this scholarship based on their admissions application.

Recipient Renewal Requirements 

To continue to receive the Jeff T. Green Family Scholarship over 4 years, recipients must: 

  • Maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA calculated by the Registrar’s office
  • Be enrolled in a minimum of 12 units for undergraduates each semester
  • Meet minimum Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements
  • Be encouraged to participate in a º£½ÇÉçÇøCI Learning Community during your first year
  • Submit an essay on a selected theme before the start of the fall semester. Recipients will be sent instructions on the essay deadline, the essay prompt, and essay submission at a later date.  

Notification & Additional Information 

Jeff T. Green Scholarship recipients for 2026-2027 will be notified beginning in the month of April until all scholarships have been awarded. Email communication will be sent to the email address provided in Cal State Apply. Students are encouraged to apply early for admission to º£½ÇÉçÇøCI for the Fall 2026 semester to maximize their opportunity to receive this scholarship.
