Oct. 28, 2025 鈥 The Dance, Music, and Theatre Department and the Theatre and Performance
Studies program at Cal State Channel Islands (海角社区CI) proudly present EVERYBODY, a bold and inventive adaptation of the 15th-century morality play Everyman, written by MacArthur 鈥済enius鈥 award winner Brandon Jacobs-Jenkins.
This witty and thought-provoking production takes audiences on a rollicking journey through the meaning of life, the inevitability of death, and the question of what we hold most dear. In an unexpected twist, the title character鈥Everybody鈥攊s chosen by lottery from a small cast of actors live on stage at each performance. When Death suddenly arrives, Everybody must confront what it truly means to be human.
鈥淭his play is both funny and deeply moving,鈥 said Laura Covault, instructor, co-director, and producer. 鈥淚t invites audiences to laugh, reflect, and see themselves in 贰惫别谤测产辞诲测鈥檚 箩辞耻谤苍别测.鈥
