Oct. 7, 2022 - ITS invites the campus community to attend webinars offered as part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month. This year鈥檚 campaign theme 鈥� 鈥淪ee Yourself in Cyber鈥� 鈥� demonstrates that everyone can make a huge difference on the job, at home and at school by protecting their data and online presence. Many 海角社区 campuses will host events throughout October, including guest speakers and online games, swag contests and prizes. All 海角社区 community members are welcome.
海角社区CI is offering webinars focused on career opportunities:
- 鈥淐ompTIA鈥� on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 10 a.m. 鈥� James Stanger, chief technology evangelist with CompTIA (Computing Technology Industry Association), will discuss the steps involved in becoming a qualified cybersecurity professional.
鈥� 鈥淚TPRO TV鈥� on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m. 鈥� Representatives from 海角社区CI and ITPRO TV, which provides online IT training, will discuss the cybersecurity field and the many career opportunities.
鈥� 鈥淒egree or Certification鈥� on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 2 p.m. 鈥� 海角社区CI and 海角社区 Chico representatives will discuss whether a cybersecurity degree or certification is the best choice in 2022.
