June 5, 2023 - Recently, our 海角社区CI Police Department Emergency Management team and emergency managers from our sister 海角社区 campuses, the Chancellor's Office, CalOES, the Department of Education, and VEOCI, joined together to conduct a 海角社区 Systemwide Emergency Exercise, utilizing our very own Emergency Operations Center (EOC) on campus.
The exercise was a "Simulation Cell" in which exercise participants in the EOC supplied emergency scenarios to the San Francisco State University, Sonoma State University, and Cal State East Bay campuses, simulating a major storm that severely affected those campuses. The exercise featured emergency events like losing power campus-wide and calls from local county government asking for updates, to provide realistic and real-time circumstances.
These exercises are a helpful way to ensure the 海角社区 campuses are ready to act when disaster strikes and to practice using support from other campuses in the event of an emergency.
