Sept. 7, 2022聽 - Research and Sponsored Programs is pleased to announce that the National Institutes of Health (NIH), via subaward from Children鈥檚 Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) has awarded $17,594 to Professor Alona Kryshchenko鈥檚 project, 鈥淧recision Dosing for Critically Ill Children.鈥

Professor Kryshchenko has been working with the CHLA group on improving the methods developed during their Ph.D. and postdoctoral work that estimates the distribution of parameters that are changing over time in children.

With the help of 海角社区CI undergraduate student research, this project will fund a method that focuses on predicting renal function and vancomycin in critically ill children with sepsis or suspected sepsis as a vulnerable target group to frame and test this particularly innovative portion of the work.
