º£½ÇÉçÇø

Preparing High School Students

EAP focuses on determining the º£½ÇÉçÇø-level English and math readiness of public high school students. The EAP test is part of the California Assessment for Student Performance and Progress () given during the second semester of junior year in high school. The tests are based on º£½ÇÉçÇø placement standards and are intended to provide information about your readiness to compete at the º£½ÇÉçÇø level. There are 4 possible levels you can receive:

  1. Standards Exceeded
  2. Standards Met
  3. Standards Nearly Met
  4. Standards Not Met

Test results can be found on the back of the CAASPP report. The CAASPP report is mailed to students home and addressed to parent and/or guardian during the summer prior to the start of senior year.

All first-year college students must complete the º£½ÇÉçÇø General Education (GE) requirements to graduate from the º£½ÇÉçÇø. Area A2 (written communication) and Area B4 (math/QR) are part of the º£½ÇÉçÇø GE requirements. To better understand how students test scores and coursework will impact them in college, please take a look at EAP's .

Please note: Counselors, remind students to release scores to the º£½ÇÉçÇø when taking the test. They will be prompted to release scores to the California State University, the California Community College, or both. The º£½ÇÉçÇø encourages students to release their scores to both the º£½ÇÉçÇø and the CCC.
