Developing Sports Clubs

Lead. Compete. Connect. Join a Sports Club!

Sports Clubs at CI are powered by students鈥攆or students. These student-led organizations bring together individuals who share a passion for a sport or activity, whether it's competitive, recreational, instructional, or a mix of all three.

Each club is built from the ground up by students who take ownership of their team鈥檚 goals, whether that's competing against other schools, holding practices, hosting tournaments, or building a tight-knit community through shared interests.

But it鈥檚 more than just play鈥攊t鈥檚 a chance to grow. Sports Clubs offer hands-on experience in leadership, sportsmanship, event planning, budgeting, fundraising, marketing, and team management. You鈥檒l not only develop your physical skills, but also build real-world knowledge that enhances your overall college experience.

Because every club is shaped by its members, no two clubs are exactly the same鈥攁nd that鈥檚 what makes the program so dynamic. Year to year, club programming evolves based on student passion, participation, and leadership.

To access university support like promotion, facility reservations, and financial assistance, all clubs must be recognized as 鈥渙fficial鈥 through CI.

So whether you鈥檙e looking to lead, compete, or just have fun with others who share your interests鈥攖here鈥檚 a place for you in CI Sports Clubs.

Please contact the Student Lead of Sports Clubs, Ingrid Corleto at ingrid.corleto101@csuci.edu  if you have questions about starting a sports club.

"All students, regardless of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin, who are interested in Sports Clubs are welcome."

The University encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you anticipate needing any kind of accommodation, or have questions about the physical access provided, please contact Disability Accommodations & Support Services as soon as possible at: accommodations.@csuci.edu.
