There are no medical facilities on the island. If you have specific medical needs, make sure to bring a supply of your medicine. Anyone with allergies to anything such as yellow-jackets, or anyone with an asthmatic condition must always bring medication with them and keep it on them while visiting. There is NO CELL PHONE COVERAGE reliably on the island or at the station. Please notify the SRIRS staff of any medical concerns for you or anyone in your group. If you have any medical concerns, check with your doctor before coming to the island. The campus police do not have jurisdiction on Santa Rosa Island, so please do not contact them for emergencies, see below for emergency contacts while on island.
